Lumen Solutions was originally hired by Sheridan Nurseries to develop a lighting plan for only one of their garden centres. The project went so well, that by the end of it we were asked to upgrade lighting in three different garden centres. The result, an annual savings of $52,167 and a 248,375 reduction in annual kWh usage! It was a win-win for both Sheridan Nurseries and the environment.

Our certified professionals increased lighting throughout Sheridan Nurseries by installing weatherproof retail quality lighting with special lenses which provided superior light levels throughout all nursery areas. We also added more illumination in outdoor areas by retrofitting existing poles with high efficiency and custom modified area lights. For peace of mind, the equipment came with a 10-year warranty. Installation was rolled-out with minimal disruptions to Sheridan Nurseries busy operations which are open seven days a week.

Sheridan Nurseries started in 1914 and today has become Canada’s largest grower of hardy nursery plants. It has eight garden centres operating across Ontario selling not only plants and garden supplies, but also a wide range of outdoor furnishing, plus lifestyle decor and accessories.
